Silent faith is sometimes more eloquent than speech. Michael Tschampl came among us in silence and left also in silence. He was here for a brief period of time, the recipient of a grant from the Chinati Foundation. He was loyal to his duties which made him come to the Spanish Mass in order to fulfill his Sunday obligation. He struggled with the language, nonetheless, he was there to offer an uplifting smile to those he greeted. When he had enough time, he lingered in prayer after the liturgy. His testimony of silent love spoke to our heart loud and clear. He participated in the few events we had. He was able to share a part of himself when the occasion permitted it. He was truly a Universal Christian (a Catholic)! We are grateful to you Michael for bringing the light of your presence to us. Like an angel that raises us to God, you showered your goodness over us.
